Another aspect (in the context of Complex Adaptive Systems) is adaptability and the ability to constantly be on the lookout for new signals and changes in the status quo (or internal/external environment). To be able to reintroduce this new information into the decision making process… The companies with the best chance of survival in the future are not the ones who have it “all figured out” (which is impossible) but the most nimble and flexible ones –  who can adapt and evolve with the least amount of “pain”.
